Cancer Prevention Awareness

What's actually known to reduce cancer risk, and why screening matters.

Health Education / Cancer Prevention Awareness

No single habit eliminates cancer risk, but several factors are consistently linked to lower incidence.

What the evidence supports

Not smoking, limiting alcohol, maintaining a healthy weight, regular physical activity, and a diet rich in vegetables and fruit are each independently associated with reduced risk across multiple cancer types.

Screening saves lives

Routine screening (for breast, cervical, colorectal and other cancers based on age and risk factors) catches disease at its most treatable stage. Talk to a healthcare provider about which screenings apply to you.

Support if you’re affected
